Back in 1989 three ambitious young incoming specialists set up their own business in Budapest and named it - modestly - Microcosmos, which then became one of the leading DMCs in Budapest, Hungary.
In the past years the travel industry has changed substantially in Hungary, but as a flexible small organisation Microcosmos managed to survive the ups and downs and can boast with a long list of prominent and happy clientele.
In July 2022, Microcosmos Events DMC BUD Ltd. merged with HD Group, one of the biggest communication agencies in Hungary, which has resulted in a team of 50 people now sitting in a shared office.
This new company setup brings new opportunities for both parties: besides the outstanding local clientele, HD Group will also gain experience in the international corporate market. Microcosmos will be able to expand its usual DMC service list with additional in-house services such as production expertise, a creative and social media team, and an experienced event operational team, as well.
Our well-trained, friendly and creative specialists offer high quality services and a fresh approach to the incentive, meetings and convention requirements of the 21st century.

You ask what our city is like. To put it shortly: unique. Magnificent and exciting. Surprising.
More elaborately: it is one of the most beautiful capitals of Europe, with the view of Buda belonging to UNESCO's World Heritage.
A city of contrasts, and a hub of business, science and culture. Budapest feels slightly nostalgic, often emanating turn-of-the-century feelings. Art nouveau is present at nearly every corner.
And the bridges... Ours is a dynamic city harmoniously blending in Roman and Turkish memories.
At the same time, we offer state-of-the-art hotels, magnificent cafés, vast shopping malls, and a diverse range of cultural programmes and festivals. What is more, Budapest does not stop bustling in the evening: our famous ruin pubs, bars nightclubs and a multitude of alternative venues are open until late.
People are inventive and cunning, and use a healthy, wise sense of humour to survive unpleasant things. They are informal and casual: they do not really like rules, including those of the traffic. But above all, people are hospitable and generous and accept visitors.
This hidden treasure of Central Eastern Europe, within easy reach from any of the main gateways of Europe, is becoming the hottest destination in the Conference and Incentive world.
