About us
The company
Back in 1989 three ambitious young incoming specialists set up their own business in Budapest and named it - modestly - Microcosmos, which then became one of the leading DMCs in Budapest, Hungary.
In the past years the travel industry has changed substantially in Hungary, but as a flexible small organisation Microcosmos managed to survive the ups and downs and can boast with a long list of prominent and happy clientele.
In July 2022, Microcosmos Events DMC BUD Ltd. merged with HD Group, one of the biggest communication agencies in Hungary, which has resulted in a team of 50 people now sitting in a shared office.
This new company setup brings new opportunities for both parties: besides the outstanding local clientele, HD Group will also gain experience in the international corporate market. Microcosmos will be able to expand its usual DMC service list with additional in-house services such as production expertise, a creative and social media team, and an experienced event operational team, as well.
Our well-trained, friendly and creative specialists offer high quality services and a fresh approach to the incentive, meetings and convention requirements of the 21st century.

Managing Partner
Graduated as an economist and sociologist, Andrea has been a key−player of Hungarian communication industry, including event business for more than 23 years. Her main interests are focused on motivation, corporate branding and experience marketing.
She owns and operates several companies shared with her husband.
Besides, she is involved in the work of numerous industry associations, and also is a lecturer for Budapest Business School and Budapest Metropolitan University. Andrea is a member of the board of trustees at SOS Children’s Villages Hungary.
She is fond of gastronomy and arts.

Founding member and owner of Microcosmos Travel Ltd. since 1989, with over 30 years of experience in the travel industry. Agnes manages the company and is the one to face and solve many of the unusual issues that pop up.

Originally an architect, who changed her mind and joined the company in January 1990. Dori also owns part of the company since 2002. As member of the management team she is responsible for Business Development and takes an active role in the marketing and sales activities of the company too. Dori has a great sence of humour which is a great asset when you spend close to 30 years in the MICE industry!

Head of Operations
Bogi joined the company in June 2022 as Head of Operations. Being an enthusiastic event professional for more than 23 years and having an insight into the driving forces of tourism having worked at tourism marketing agencies as head of events and exhibitions, she is fond of providing guests the highest standard services all along their stays in Hungary. In her free time, she loves travelling, learns Spanish, reads historical novels, and also gardening and flower arranging brings her joy.

With her degree in computer science she is a great addition to our team, always keeping our feet on the ground. Nora joined the company in 2001. She takes care of all our IT matters, office administration, invoicing and financial issues. She is our general problem solver.

Cecilia joined Microcosmos in June 2016 after graduating from the University of Bath. She is our live English dictionary. She operates a great variety of events on her own but is happy to work with any member of the team. In her free time she attends ballet classes and is eager to visit music related performances, let that be classical music at the Music Academy, ballet at the Opera House or concerts at Sziget Festival.
